70s TV: to be continued? NOW!!
« on: May 05, 2014, 07:00:27 PM »
A reboot of 70s drama POLDARK is being filmed now in Bristol and in Cornwall.  Big Finish have bought the rights to continue 70s dramas SURVIVORS and THE OMEGA FACTOR (not to mention audio recreations of \'lost\' TV episodes of THE AVENGERS) and box sets of same are up for pre-order on the BF website.

70s drama! Happy times! :)

[not as dodgy as 70s djs\' then...]

Was Poldark any good? I have a chance to watch it on Netflix. Should I give it a shot?

Don\'t know Survivors or The Omega Factor, but love The Avengers! The woman who plays Millie in The Bletchley Circle reminds me of Diana Rigg. So....yeah. :P

Poldark was the definitive 70s historical adventure/drama/romance TV series! And will be so again, next year, in the remake.  Yes, you SHOULD watch it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poldark

The Omega Factor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Omega_Factor

Survivors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivors_%281970s_TV_series%29

Her indoors has a box set of the complete \"Poldark\" on VHS. She hasn\'t been able to watch them for some years now - not since our VCR bit the dust. I recall seeing a few of them and was amazed at how appallingly bad the acting was from some of the minor characters - the guy playing \"Judd\" (?) in particular.

I recall also seeing a few episodes of \"Survivors\" and not being impressed.

I never saw any of \"The Omega Factor\" so can\'t comment on that.
I\'m NOT paranoid......thats just what THEY want you to think!!!
