You don\'t actually need the histogram. The figures that you quote are obviously a poisson distribution (with the occasional blip caused by the small sample population). I could work out the standard distribution, but life\'s too short.

I know, but having seen Mat\'s chart, I wanted to include it in my message.

True, I was going to produce the range of times in which, based on that sample, one could be confident that 95% of all timings would fall, however, I thought that very few people would have been interested in that.

It is disappointing that so few visitors to this site have bothered to time their openings of messages and post the data for us to peruse.

I logged into the above message at approx 09:00 GMT and it took 13 seconds to appear. I\'ve just tried at 10:45 and it only took 1 second. I think that this shows that the internet speed is the problem. At times when 2 or  3 of us are logging on concurrently, our times seem to agree, so I would surmise that slow running is caused by the amount of users in the area of the Beebotron server, not that of the members.
