following the trend for some posts to have French titles...... c\'est une bonne idee. Ou non?

One thing I don\'t like about R4x compared to BBC7 is that it doesn\'t give you the complete runs of things, it\'s all stop and start. To date, Sherlock Holmes, The Blackburn Files, The Attractive Young Rabbi, Double Income No Kids Yet, etc. , don\'t have complete runs, just a few episodes then off the air. Back again in a few months if we\'re lucky.

I\'m not too happy over this. I\'ve taped all of The Blackburn Files, so that\'s OK, I was taping all of DINKY this time round and only got the  first few because of this. What\'s it all about, this stop\'n\'start, that\'s what I want to know? The Small Faces had the right idea, \'All Or Nothing\'......

The first series of the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller adventures was broadcast on Radio Seven before coming out on CD, all subsequent seasons (three before they came to a natural end with what happened in the final adventure of Series Four \'To The Death\') have been bought out on CD before being broadcast on the radio. Series Four hasn\'t yet been broadcast.

The Fifth Doctor stories with Tegan, Turlough, and Nyssa came out on CD before their broadcast. As did Tom Baker\'s readings of the Target Novelisations (Robot, Creature From The Pit, Brain Of Morbius) which he did for the BBC, and also the Hornet\'s Nest series of dramatised readings he did for hte BBC.

If you regret that we didn\'t get any audio plays that feature the Fourth Doctor with the Brig and Sarah Jane because Nicholas Courtney and Elisabeth Sladen died before Tom changed his mind over doing work for Big Finish, then you aren\'t alone. so does Tom. Bitterly....

Some links....

No, not at all.  Got fed up with waiting for a personal invite to join here so gatecrashed the gig myself. I missed you all...

BTW, notice that on Christmas Day on Radio Two, once again Ed \'Stewpot\' Stewart has revived Junior Choice, from 9am to 11am?  I taped the shows from Christams Day 2010 and 2009,  onto C120s - well, only way to get to hear the old classics like Three Wheels On My Wagon and My Bruvver! these days......!

I\'ve got this on CD, bought it when it came out.  Not so much a radio play as a tale told in multiple voice readings, really. He\'s done another couple of series since, also for the BBC. I expect much better from him when the first of the audios he\'s done for Big Finish come out in January.

Richard Franklin as Mike Yates (whom the Fourth Doctor never met on the TV adventures) was a late substitute for Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, who was too ill to do the recordings. Shame.

You may have seen them before. You can find them on youtube! I did! :)o
